Dispute Resolution Policy
How protected WorkAbeg transactions are reviewed when a buyer and provider disagree.
1. Purpose
This Policy explains how WorkAbeg administers disputes between buyers and providers concerning protected WorkAbeg transactions. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
2. Scope
WorkAbeg’s transaction dispute process generally applies only to eligible transactions created and paid for through WorkAbeg. Off-platform transactions are not ordinarily protected.
3. 72-Hour Review Period
After a provider submits an order as complete, the buyer has 72 hours to accept the work or raise an eligible dispute. If the buyer does neither, WorkAbeg may treat the transaction as accepted and release the applicable provider funds.
4. Opening a Dispute
A dispute should identify the order, disputed issue, requested resolution and relevant evidence available through WorkAbeg. Users must participate honestly. False evidence or deliberately misleading dispute claims may result in account action.
5. Evidence WorkAbeg Considers
WorkAbeg may consider service listings, order requirements, in-app communications, agreed deliverables, submitted work, photographs/videos uploaded through supported functionality, timestamps, transaction records, completion records, revision history and other relevant Platform records.
6. Off-Platform Evidence
Off-platform conversations generally will not establish or alter the protected order’s scope, price, deliverables, revisions or completion status. This protects both parties by maintaining a reliable Platform record.
WorkAbeg may nevertheless consider off-platform evidence when investigating fraud, threats, harassment, circumvention, safety issues or unlawful conduct.
7. Possible Outcomes
After reviewing available evidence, WorkAbeg may reasonably release full provider payment, refund the buyer, divide funds between buyer and provider, facilitate a revision, cancel the order, preserve funds pending further investigation or apply another reasonable transaction remedy.
8. Partial Payment
A provider does not necessarily lose all entitlement merely because the ultimate objective was not completed. WorkAbeg may award partial payment where credible evidence demonstrates substantial work, legitimate effort or reasonable expense, particularly for physical errands where circumstances outside the provider’s control prevent completion.
9. Quality Disputes
Dissatisfaction alone does not automatically establish entitlement to a refund. WorkAbeg may compare the promised deliverable, buyer’s original instructions, what was delivered, included revisions and applicable objective evidence. A buyer cannot materially expand the agreed scope after ordering and then treat refusal of additional work as non-performance.
10. Provider Non-Performance
Where a provider fails to perform material agreed obligations without legitimate justification, WorkAbeg may cancel the transaction and refund applicable funds to the buyer. Repeated non-performance may result in enforcement action.
11. Buyer Non-Cooperation
Where completion is prevented because a buyer fails to provide agreed access, information, approvals or other necessary cooperation, WorkAbeg may consider the provider’s work and costs when allocating funds.
12. Property Disputes
WorkAbeg is not an insurer of property transferred between users. A claim that another user lost, damaged, stole or failed to deliver property may result in account restrictions, preservation of records, investigation, cooperation with lawful authorities or other Platform enforcement. It does not automatically create an obligation for WorkAbeg to reimburse the property’s value.
13. Fraud and Safety
WorkAbeg may suspend normal dispute deadlines or fund release while investigating credible allegations involving fraud, account compromise, unauthorized payment, threats, serious safety issues, illegal conduct or chargebacks.
14. After Funds Are Released
Ordinary quality, scope and completion disputes should be raised during the 72-hour review period. After valid release, WorkAbeg generally will not reopen an ordinary performance dispute. Exceptions may apply for fraud, unauthorized payment, serious safety/legal concerns, technical error or where applicable law requires otherwise.
15. WorkAbeg’s Internal Decision
WorkAbeg’s determination is final for purposes of WorkAbeg’s internal administration of the transaction. WorkAbeg may reconsider where significant new evidence, fraud or material error is identified. Internal finality does not remove rights that applicable law does not permit users to waive.
16. User-to-WorkAbeg Complaints
A complaint concerning WorkAbeg itself is separate from a buyer-provider transaction dispute and may be submitted to legal@workabeg.com. WorkAbeg will attempt reasonable internal resolution. Users retain access to applicable regulators, courts and other legal remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
